SERVICES

The services we provide at Sunridge of Nevada are first recommended by a licensed practitioner within their scope of practice under State law for the maximum reduction of a mental disability and to restore the individual to the best possible functioning level. The services are to be provided in the least restrictive, most normative setting possible and will be delivered within a community environment, office setting and/or in the recipient’s home. 

Family Therapy

Family therapy incorporates the natural and substitute family as the means to facilitate positive family interactions among individuals. Our therapists primary function is to help families achieve harmony, balance, and resolution. They deal with issues relating to the constructive integration and re-integration of the recipient within the family structure. We work with two-parent, single-parent, blended, divorced, and step-parent families to resolve:

 

  • Children’s aggression

  • Discipline issues and differences

  • Teen issues/problems

  • Communication struggles

  • Grief due to loss, separation, divorce

Individual Psychotherapy
 
 

In individual therapy, our focus is to get to the core or underlying issues that may be preventing you from establishing or reestablishing your life as a thriving, nurturing process. The first step is to help you identify the goals you seek to accomplish. Our therapists are highly trained and are here to help you resolve all life, family, and relationship difficulties or transitions. Some issues we address:

 

  • Overcoming depression, anxiety, and stress

  • Learning effective communication and anger manangement skills and techniques

  • Develop ability to express healthy emotions and feelings

Basic Skills Training

Basic Skills Training (BST) services is a practice which teaches individuals skills such as goal setting, child rearing, clothes washing, , or even basic hygiene such as brushing your teeth. There are four components of Basic Skills Training (BST): modeling, instructions, rehearsal, and feedback. Services are provided at our office, in the individual's home and/or community-setting.

Psychosocial Rehabilitation

Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) services here at Sunridge of Nevada are collaborative, client-directed, and individualized. Psychosocial Rehabilitation focuses on helping individuals develop skills; accessing resources needed to increase their capacity to be successful and satisfied in the living, working, learning, and social environments of their choice. Services are provided at our office, in the individual's home and/or community-setting.

Mobile Assessment

Need an assessment but dont have a way to make it to our office? Well we wiill come to you! Mobile assessments are performed outside our facility, and is beneficial for those with transportation or other issues that may prevent them from coming to our office to receive an assessment. An assessment is a clinical interview to determine what type of behavioral health services is most appropriate. All mobile assessments are performed by a licensed practitioner who will ask about current concerns as well as past medical and mental health history. This comprehensive assessment is used to determine which programs or treatment services would be most beneficial for you. Once the assessment is complete, our clinician will make the recommendation about treatment options.
